MBraille Privacy Policy

MBraille is an app for braille input, reading, writing, and accessibility workflows. This privacy policy explains what data the app may process and how that data is used.

1. Data stored on your device
MBraille stores the files, settings, and app data you create on your device so the app can work properly. This may include text documents, app preferences, keyboard settings, and other content you create inside the app.

2. Optional cloud sync
If you enable cloud sync, MBraille connects to the cloud provider you choose, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or iCloud when available. Files and sync metadata needed for synchronization are transferred to that provider. Your use of those services is also subject to the privacy policy and terms of the selected cloud provider.

3. Subscriptions and purchases
If you buy or restore a subscription, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction. MBraille does not receive your full payment card details. The app may receive subscription status information such as the product identifier, purchase state, and whether access is active so that paid features can be unlocked.

4. Diagnostics and analytics
MBraille may use services such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring to understand app usage, improve reliability, and diagnose crashes or performance issues. These services may collect technical information such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash logs, and basic usage events.

5. Microphone, contacts, and calendar access
Some features may request access to the microphone, contacts, or calendar. MBraille only uses these permissions when needed for the feature you choose to use. For example, microphone access may be used for voice input or recording features, and calendar or contacts access may be used only when you explicitly use related functionality.

6. How your data is used
MBraille uses data to provide core app features, save your settings and files, synchronize content when you enable cloud sync, validate subscription access, and improve app stability and performance.

7. Data sharing
MBraille may share data with service providers only as needed to provide app functionality, such as app-store purchase validation, crash reporting, analytics, performance monitoring, and the cloud provider you choose for sync. MBraille is not intended to sell your personal data.

8. Data retention
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to how your operating system manages local storage. Cloud-synced data remains with the provider you selected until you delete it there. Diagnostic and analytics data may be retained by the relevant service provider according to that provider's policies.

9. Your choices
You can choose whether to enable cloud sync, whether to purchase a subscription, and whether to grant optional permissions such as microphone, contacts, or calendar access. You can also remove local data by deleting app content or uninstalling the app, subject to any cloud copies you have synchronized separately.
