Viskey Privacy Statement

1. Offline Operation & Network Access

Viskey is architected to operate offline. An internet connection is used solely to download the multilingual speech model (~640 MB) when you enable dictation. Viskey never transmits keystrokes, audio recordings, personal details, device identifiers, or analytics over the internet:

• On Android: Network access is used exclusively to download the on-device speech model. Viskey never transmits any keystrokes, audio recordings, or personal information off your device.
• On iOS: Network access is used solely by the main application to download the speech model. The keyboard extension itself does not transmit data over the network, and system keyboard permissions (such as Apple's "Full Access", which is required only for local audio feedback, self-voicing speech synthesis, or accessing local app group settings) are never used to communicate over the network.

2. Keystrokes & Typed Content

A keyboard is the gateway through which you enter your most private thoughts, messages, passwords, and sensitive documents. We treat your keystrokes with absolute confidentiality:

• No keystroke logging: We never log, store, or transmit what you type.
• On-device processing: All touch detection, gesture decoding, spatial correction, and spell-checking algorithms operate 100% locally on your device.
• Sensitive field privacy: In sensitive input contexts (such as passwords, PIN entries, or private/incognito browsing fields), auto-correction and suggestion learning are automatically silenced to protect your privacy.

3. Dictation

Viskey supports fast, private on-device voice dictation. Your speech is transcribed directly on your device, and your audio never leaves the device.

Setting up dictation

• In Viskey settings, turn on Allow dictation.
• When prompted, grant microphone permission.
• Viskey will download the multilingual speech model (~640 MB). Only a single download is needed to cover all supported languages.

4. User Dictionary & Personal Settings

Viskey lets you customize settings (such as keyboard layout, themes, preview heights, and audio feedback) and save words to your personal user dictionary:

• All settings and user dictionary words are saved exclusively in local storage on your device (such as Android DataStore / SQLite or iOS local shared container).
• This data never leaves your device and is never uploaded to any remote server or cloud service operated by us or third parties.
• You can inspect, edit, or clear your user dictionary directly from the app's settings at any time.

5. No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising

We do not track you. Viskey contains:

• No advertising: There are no advertisements, ad networks, or ad IDs (AAID/IDFA) used.
• No tracking or profiling: We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites.
• No analytics SDKs: Viskey contains no third-party analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Facebook SDK).

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

If you choose to purchase an upgrade or subscription to Viskey:

• All financial transactions are handled exclusively and securely by the platform app stores (Google Play Store on Android or Apple App Store on iOS).
• We do not receive, process, or store your credit card details, banking credentials, or billing address.
• Purchase entitlements are verified through the standard, cryptographically signed platform billing APIs directly between your device and the respective app store.

7. Children's Privacy

Viskey does not collect any personal data from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction). Viskey is safe for users of all ages.

8. Security of Your Information

Because Viskey does not transmit, receive, or store personal data on any remote server, your data is not susceptible to remote server-side breaches or eavesdropping. Your input is protected by your device's built-in security features (such as device passcode, biometric authentication, and operating system encryption).

9. Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect app updates or regulatory requirements. Any future revisions will maintain our core commitment to zero data collection and offline operation. The latest version will always be published at https://mpaja.com/viskey/privacy.html.
